This lady really knows her stuff. I had several airbrush trials that were awful. I came across her from the bridal salon. My mom and I were sold immediately when she just began doing contouring and highlighting. The makeup looked like it was my natural skin. It was amazing. Not only is Ms. Carolina truly a professional, she was extra nice too.

How long have you been in business?
I have been in this industry since I was 20 years of age. My mother is an estheticienne and I followed in her footsteps. I love creating; and for me makeup and hair is an art form. Although I have freelanced most of my life, I set up my business in the salon where I started. I have been there successfully for the past two years and will continue. I'm back for the salon's 50th Anniversary!
What is your primary product or service?
Primarily I do makeup (either traditional or airbrush) and style hair for wedding and special event clients. We also have Pizazz! a private cosmetic line.
How did you first become interested in your line of business? (if owner) - What is your background? (If owner or store manager)
As mentioned earlier, my mother and I were involved in the flourishing of skin care in the Metro Detroit area. My training in esthetics began with my mother, then I became formerly trained with credentials in Miami, Spain, Argentina and Belgium. My makeup training followed with an emphasis in high fashion editorial and runway.
How do you differentiate yourself from other businesses in your category and area?
Although I am in business to make a profit, it is not the driving force in my business. I love what I do. I love to teach my clientele how to look their best. It doesn't matter if I sell them my cosmetics or a competitors. They know I am objective and impartial. As an instructor, I give a boost to newbies entering the field. I like to pass on what I know...after all we never know how long we can hold on to our craft. What better way to keep it going?
How many locations do you have and do you have plans to expand?
Presently I have one location. As our business grows for on-location, my home base will continue in Birmingham, MI. My cosmetics I hope to incorporate in other salons with estheticiennes and makeup artists seeking quality products that copy well on film and print.

We are located in beautiful Birmingham, MI. We are just a few blocks south of Maple (15 Mile) and east of Woodward. It's easy to find us as we are the street just between Walgreens and the Porsche Dealership.
What type of payments do you accept?
We accept all credit/debit cards, checks and naturally cash. We book wedding events via a deposit to hold the date and then a payment plan that makes it easy for the bride.
Which areas do you service?
We service the Metro Detroit area within 20 miles free of charge. Outside of that area, we do charge a minimal fee for travel. Basically, we service Oakland, Macomb, Washtenaw, Livingston, Wayne counties.
Who owns your company or runs daily operations?
Gee... I wish I could tell you I have a crew for the daily operations but it's my obligation. I take the calls, arrange the appointments, communicate with the clients and then depending on the need I coordinate the activities and services with our salon stylists, manicurists, facialists and makeup artists.
What are your hours of operation?
We cater to the event at hand. For example, If it's a candlelight wedding in the early evening we start our services a few hours prior if it's on location. Earlier to accommodate the bride if it's in salon. Sunday on-location are common for us for many orthodox weddings. Our salon hours : 9:00am to 5:00pm Wednesday, Fridays and Saturdays 9:00 am to 7:30 p.m. Tuesdays and Thursdays
What is the best compliment anyone can give you?
It's always the same for me. So many brides are so elated with the results that they hug me as if I was a long lost relative. I'm patient, I listen, I understand what they want. I implement it in a reserved and calm fashion. It's their unspoken joy coupled with their thankfulness and relief of knowing that they are in good hands. That makes me the happiest.
What is your favorite quote or Bible verse?
'Do unto others as you would like for others to do unto you!'. This is the secret of living. I believe it wholeheartedly.
