Live Coal Gallery’s mission is to be a vibrant Detroit-based gallery and museum that fosters a passion for art, community, and learning. Our focus is to collect, exhibit, and sell the works of aspiring, emerging, and established artists. We provide hands-on experiences for children and families, and collaborate with businesses, organizations, and schools on a variety of arts-based projects. As a collecting and traveling museum, we are invested in having a large permanent collection of art created by Detroit artists of all ages and stages of their artistic journeys.

What is your primary product or service?
We collect, exhibit, and sell the works of aspiring, emerging, and established artists. We engage Detroit neighborhoods with arts engagement through the Live Coal Arts Mobile.
How did you first become interested in your line of business? (if owner) - What is your background? (If owner or store manager)
I have been an artist almost all of my life. I have also enjoyed working with youth and others in bringing art into a community. Live Coal Gallery, LLC brings all my passions together while serving our city.
How do you differentiate yourself from other businesses in your category and area?
What stands out most about Live Coal Gallery, LLC is that we are Detroit's 1st contemporary art gallery on wheels traveling to Detroit neighborhoods.
How many locations do you have and do you have plans to expand?
We are currently a mobile business traveling to Detroit neighborhoods and partnering with local brick-and-mortar spaces on hosing exhibitions.
